Girls und Panzer Fanfic Bingo

 Girls Und Panzer, an anime about tank combat as a high school girls' sport, is rather strange in that its fans tend to break may of the unspoken rules of fan fiction, such as when it comes to pairing original characters with canon characters, but the fandom still has a lot of fanfic tropes that fanfics commonly follow. I set up another bingo board for tropes in a given fanfic.

A1:The fic includes air combat as well as tank combat.

A2:The author namedrops World of Tanks, War Thunder or similar video games, or includes related memes.

A3:MEXT decides that Oarai's success is not enough to keep it open, and either forces it to win more tournaments or shuts it down entirely.

A4:The fic includes depictions of characters or schools that are obsolete as of das Finale, der Film, the Anzio OVA or even the last two episodes of the series.

A5:The story features at least one team that is either coed or all boys.

B1:At least one of the characters puts forth the idea that Kuromorimine/Black Forest Peak was overrated.

B2:The author picks tanks that are clearly from World of Tanks, War Thunder or other games (tanks that were already in the anime, the OVAs or der Film do not count).

B3:Shiho ends up disowning Miho.

B4:The story heavily focuses on Hippo Team(the history buffs), Erwin in particular.

B5:Japan is noted to be unusual or behind the curve in having tankery be exclusively female.

C1:Miho and an OC are paired together.

C2:The fic makes Miho significantly more emotionally vulnerable than in canon.

C3: Free Space

C4:An original tankery team (not necessarily the protagonists) defeats Kuromorimine/Black Forest Peak to prove its superiority.

C5:Another Anglerfish Team member and an OC are paired together.

D1:Two canon characters are paired together.

D2:An original tankery team(not necessarily the protagonists) defeats Oarai to prove its superiority.

D3:The fic ignores the events of der Film or das Finale.

D4:A secondary Oarai character and an OC are paired together.

D5:The new characters look down on the girls and/or Japanese tankery practitioners.

E1:Oarai solves its problems with enrollment by becoming coed.

E2:The fic includes artillery, open-topped vehicles or other war machines that are not part of traditional tankery.

E3:The fic includes infantry combat in addition to tank combat.

E4:Shiho and Miho reconcile (This is not necessarily exclusive with B3)

E5:A character from another school and an OC are paired together

Shinrai's Kotoba: When the Worst Character is Still Necessary to the Narrative

Shinrai: Broken Beyond Despair Spoilers Most of us can think of a few characters we dislike for various reasons, and often, we believe the stories they're in would be better off without them. But sometimes, it's difficult to remove characters the audience dislikes without adversely affecting the narrative. Kotoba Gaikoku from Shinrai: Broken Beyond Despair is one example, as while he seems like an unfunny perverted comic relief character(and to some degree, he is), he plays a crucial role in the story. Game of Thrones Season 8 Review Part 8: Conclusion

Warning: This series contains spoilers for the final season of Game of Thrones Now for the conclusion to this series. The General Problems Part of the reason for the decline of Game of Thrones' qualities are the reasons I stated before. The showrunners no longer had Martin's books to guide them, resulting in their writing's shortcomings coming to the fore. The fact that the final two seasons have thirteen episodes between them is a significant factor in why the show ended as poorly as it did. While Daenerys' fall into evil was always destined to be controversial, having more episodes to cover her development might have made it easier to accept. Additionally, giving more episodes to the war with the Night King would have helped him seem like more of a credible threat than he ended up being.
